Nicholas Scott Cannon was born in San Diego, California, in 1980. He’s a television host, actor, rapper, and comedian.

He was raised mainly by his paternal grandfather. Both he and his biological father called the man “dad.”

Cannon lived in Lincoln Park’s Bay Vista Housing Projects, San Diego, when he was a kid. The area was gang-ridden and located in the Southeast area of the city.

While he was a teenager, Cannon was part of a street gang known as the “Lincoln Park Bloods.” However, he has stated that he left all that behind him after losing a close friend.

In 1998, Nick Cannon landed his first television role as a leading cast member of the sketch comedy series All That. He starred in 33 episodes until the year 2000.

His first movie role came in 2000 when he played “Chess Club Kid” in Whatever It Takes.

In 2002, Cannon landed a role in his first big movie, with a minor appearance in Men in Black II.

His first starring role came in 2002 when he played the main character Devon Miles in the movie Drumline.
