Nikki Amuka-Bird was born on 27 February 1976, in  Delta, Nigeria. She is a Nigerian-born British actress on the stage, on television, and in film. She attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). She started her stage career with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC).  She has performed on stage with the National Theatre and the Oxford Stage Company, amongst others.
