Rupert William Anthony Friend was born on 9 October 1981, in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England. He is a British actor, director, screenwriter, and producer. He attended The Marlborough School in Woodstock. He did professional acting training at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Originally, he wanted to be an archaeologist. He is best known for  Hitman: Agent 47 (2015), The Death of Stalin (2017), and The Young Victoria (2009)
